“I think I’m staying on top of school and it’s been manageable so far. I can’t tell how long it will last because I am constantly tired and I know I need to sleep more – I don’t know how I am going to do this for the rest of the year. Generally it has been better than last year in terms of my classes, but I know that is not the same for everyone. It’s been hard juggling everything – I’m in a lot of time consuming clubs like marching band, and that only ends when college applications are all due. I think senioritis hasn’t fully hit me yet, but it’s starting to with all of my extracurriculars. I have to now give myself more of a push to actually do activities that are not school work or college application – it’s exhausting. I understand why seniors get senioritis, because they’ll be so close to the end and they really don’t want to deal with school anymore. I’m sure I’ll start to get it soon enough. I just remind myself that I have to stay motivated, in whatever form that is, and not overwork myself. That means that it’s okay to take a breather or even tell my teachers I need a break.”
